Joseph P. Galichia M.D., a Wichita, Kansas, cardiologist, has agreed to pay $5.8 million to resolve allegations that he
and his medical group, Galichia Medical Group, P.A. (GMED), violated the False Claims Act by improperly billing federal
health care programs for medically unnecessary cardiac stent procedures, the Department of Justice
announced.
