Inspector General Robert P. Storch announced today that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the “Evaluation of Intelligence Sharing in Support of Ukraine.”  The objective of this report was to evaluate DoD intelligence sharing in support of the Ukrainian military.   

The report made three classified and one unclassified recommendation to assist the DoD organizations involved in policy development, oversight, and the provision of security assistance through intelligence sharing in support of the Ukrainian military.

The unclassified recommendation is to the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy (USD[P]) to update the existing DoD foreign disclosure policy to reflect current offices, roles, and responsibilities. 

IG Storch stated, “The DoD OIG is committed to providing comprehensive, timely, and impactful oversight of all aspects of U.S. security assistance to Ukraine.  The report released today supports our overall efforts to help inform and advance the DoD’s mission in the important area of intelligence sharing in support of Ukraine.”
