Federal Activities Inventory Reform (FAIR) Act Annual Submission

Annually, the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) prepares the summary for the Federal Activities Inventory Reform Act of 1998, which is required by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Cicular A-76. Development of workforce inventories can help agencies gain a better understanding of how Federal employee labor is being used to carry out the agency's mission and improve human capital resource distribution. In accordance with the FAIR Act, the DoD OIG must post its full inventory within twenty-four hours of OMB publishing the Notice of Public Availability in the Federal Register.
