Project Announcement: Evaluation of DoD Voting Assistance Programs for Calendar Year 2017 (Project No. D2018-D00SPO-0021.000)

We plan to begin evaluating the DoD Voting Assistance Programs in October 2017. We are conducting this evaluation in accordance with the requirements of section 1566, title 10, United States Code (10 U.S.C 1566), which requires the Inspector General of the Department of Defense (DoD IG) to report annually to Congress by March 31st each year, regarding: 
 

  • the effectiveness during the preceding calendar year of voting assistance programs and 
  • the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps' level of compliance during the preceding calendar year with their voting assistance programs.
