Mission

• Formulate audit policy and provide oversight to DoW audit and internal review organizations and non-Federal audit organizations that audit DoW operations and programs to ensure DoW and Congress have quality products for use in DoW decision making.
• Oversee DoW contracting officials’ use of contract audit reports.
• Research and evaluate audit and audit-related trends, best practices, and lessons-learned for use by DoW audit organizations and auditors.
• Provide procedures for implementing the Defense Inspectors General (IG) Program covering Joint IGs and Defense Agency IGs.
