Office of Equal Employment Opportunity

Philip Hepperle, OEEO Director

Mission

The Office of Equal Employment Opportunity (OEEO) offers information and assistance to all DoD OIG employees who seek a greater understanding of Federal discrimination and affirmative action laws, regulations, and policies.  We seek to support the DoD OIG mission and ensure that the strengths of an engaged and talented workforce contribute to our agency’s success.

Our EEO Counselors are professional practitioners trained to guide you through the EEO complaints process.  Our counselors are certified mediators trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution concepts.

DoD OIG employees are responsible for maintaining a workplace environment of mutual respect and professional courtesy consistent with EEO and personnel policies, practices, and procedures.

Vision

The OEEO is committed to supporting and enabling an engaged workforce, providing equal opportunity for all, and helping support the DoD OIG vision of “a high-performing team driving positive change.”

If you are a current or former DoD OIG employee, or an applicant for employment within the DoD OIG, and you believe you have been discriminated against or harassed at the DoD OIG based on your race, color, religion, sex (including sexual orientation, sexual harassment, and pregnancy), national origin, age (over 40), disability (including mental or physical), genetic information (including family medical history), or retaliation for engaging in protected EEO activity, you must contact us within 45 days of the alleged discriminatory event at EEO@dodig.mil.
