The objective of this evaluation is to determine the extent to which Navy and Marine Corps commanders are submitting final disposition data to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) for cases involving Service members investigated by NCIS or other DoW Law Enforcement Agencies, in accordance with DoDI 5505.11, “Fingerprint Reporting Requirements,” October 31, 2019. We may revise the objective as the evaluation proceeds and will consider suggestions from management for additional or revised objectives. We will perform this evaluation in accordance with the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency “Quality Standards for Inspection and Evaluation.”
