David A. Core is the Acting General Counsel in the Department of Defense, Office of Inspector General.
Mr. Core joined the Office of General Counsel in 2015. As an Associate General Counsel, he primarily provided legal advice and counsel to Administrative Investigations.
Mr. Core joined the Office of Inspector General in 2009 and served as an Investigator and Supervisory Investigator in the office of Investigations of Senior Officials. Before joining the Office of Inspector General, Mr. Core practiced law in Florida for more than 15 years, where he specialized in community association law and civil litigation.
Mr. Core served on active duty in the U.S. Army as judge advocate, with assignments in Germany and Korea, where he was a military prosecutor, officer-in-charge of a branch legal office, chief of administrative law, and labor counselor.
Mr. Core is licensed to practice in the State of Florida.
