This audit is a Congressional mandate established in Conference Report 118-301 to accompany the FY 2024 National Defense Authorization Act that directs the DoD OIG to review the processes and procedures by which the DoD evaluates, responds to, complies with, or denies Government Accountability Office (GAO) information requests and the consistency of such processes and procedures with the authorities granted the Comptroller General of the United States under section 716, title 31, United States Code.
