Project Announcement: Evaluation of the United States Air Force Academy’s Response to Incidents of Sexual Assault and Victim Care (Project No. 2018C009)

 In response to inquiries from Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, dated December 13, 2017, and Senators Mazie Hirono and Tom Udall, dated January 3, 2018, the DoD Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) will evaluate aspects of the United States Air Force Academy’s (USAFA’s) Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR) Program. The evaluation objective is to determine whether the USAFA, USAFA SAPR Office, and the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI) respond to, support, and provide victim care to cadet victims of sexual assault as required by DoD, Air Force, USAFA, and AFOSI policies and procedures.
