Inspector General (IG) Robert P. Storch announced today that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the report, “Audit of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Storage and Care of Repair Parts and Components for the Army Ground Combat Systems (GCS).” The report highlights deficiencies with how two DLA Distribution Centers stored and cared for $1.96 billion worth of repair parts and components for Army Ground Combat Systems.

Storch announced today that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the “Audit of the Reliability of Army Spare Parts Forecasts Submitted to the Defense Logistics Agency,” which identified inaccuracies within the Army’s spare parts forecasts for its depot maintenance programs.

Storch announced today that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the report “Evaluation of Land-Based Security Controls for Equipment Being Transferred by Rail to Ukraine.” The evaluation report addresses DoD’s security controls for the ground movement and transfer of cargo headed to Ukraine by rail in the U.S. European Command area of responsibility. This transportation and transfer of equipment by rail is part of DoD’s support to the Government of Ukraine under Presidential Drawdown Authority.

Inspector General Robert P. Storch announced today that the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) released the “Management Advisory: DoD’s Ability to Financially Report Joint Strike Fighter Inventory.” The purpose of this management advisory is to report on issues related to the accounting and reporting of F-35 Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program inventory, collected during the DoD Agency-Wide Financial Statements audit. During the audit the DoD OIG found that the F-35 JSF Program Office did not have a valid population of JSF inventory.
