The Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey (FEVS) allows government employees to share their opinions about what matters most to them, and gives them the opportunity to let their leadership know how they feel about their jobs, their supervisors, and their agencies.
This year, 486,105 employees responded to the survey out of the 1,068,151 to whom it was sent, for a response rate of 45.5 percent. In total, 747 Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) employees completed the survey, for a response rate of 56.3 percent. This exceeds not only the government-wide response rate, but also the overall DoD response rate of 30.3 percent. The DoD OIG made significant gains in several categories. This graphic depicts a one-third sampling of the survey questions and compares the 2017 results to the previous year, as well as the 2017 DoD and the government-wide results.
