Project Announcement: Quality Control Review of the Deloitte & Touche LLP and the Defense Contract Audit Agency Single Audit of The Aerospace Corporation for Fiscal Year Ending September 30, 2016 (Project No. D2019-DEV0SO-0167.000)

We plan to begin the subject quality control review in June 2019. Our objective is to determine whether the audit work was performed in accordance with Title 2 U.S. Code of Federal Regulations Part 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards and applicable auditing standards.

We determined whether the Army billed and received payment for services provided to Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries under Health Care Sharing Agreements at selected Army medical centers. We conducted this audit in response to allegations that were made to the DoD Hotline.

Project Announcement: Audit of the DoD Beyond Economical Repair Process for Parts (Project No. D2019-D000RK-0134.000)

We plan to begin the subject audit in April 2019. The objective of the audit is to determine whether DoD beyond economical repair (BER) processes, used for deciding whether to repair a part or purchase a replacement part for a weapon system platform, comply with the agreed-upon thresholds and procedures.

Audit of DoD Efforts to Consult with Victims of Sexual Assault Committed by Military Personnel in the United States Regarding the Victim’s Preference for Prosecution DODIG-2019-064

We determined whether victims of sexual assault by military personnel that occurred in the United States were consulted on their preference for prosecuting offenses by court-martial or in a civilian court with jurisdiction over the offense and whether the victims’ preference was documented. This audit was initiated in response to requirements in the House Armed Services Committee report that accompanied the Fiscal Year 2019 National Defense Authorization Act.
