The DoD OIG submits semiannual reports summarizing its activities as required by the Inspector General Act of 1978. These reports serve to apprise Congress and the Secretary of Defense of noteworthy findings, progress, and recommendations for improvement.
During this reporting period, Inspector General Robert P. Storch was selected by the Chair of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency (CIGIE) to serve as the Lead Inspector General (Lead IG) for Operation Atlantic Resolve (OAR). The DoD OIG worked closely with its partners to ensure comprehensive and effective oversight of U.S. assistance to Ukraine. It released 60 audit and evaluation reports, making 298 recommendations for improvement across diverse programs and operations. The DoD OIG also oversaw the DoD's efforts to perform enhanced end-use monitoring and investigated public corruption and financial crimes.
