The objective of this evaluation is to determine whether the Department of Navy effectively took actions to prevent and respond to incidents of deaths by suicide, suicide attempts, and suicidal ideation among members of the Navy assigned to sea duty or shore duty. We may revise the objective as the evaluation proceeds, and we will also consider suggestions from management for additional or revised objectives.
