DoD Hotline - Southwest Asia Hotline

In an effort to increase the ability of our military, contractors, and civilians in Southwest Asia to report allegations of fraud, waste and abuse, the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG) has established a special toll free DoD Hotline number: 1-877-363-3348 or DSN 312-664-1151. 

It is important to the DoD OIG to ensure that all personnel in Southwest Asia have an easy and cost free means to report allegations to the DoD Hotline.

In the FY 2013 NDAA, Congress established the Lead IG to conduct oversight of Overseas Contingency Operations. Section 8L of the IG Act requires the designated Lead IG to ensure coordinated and comprehensive oversight, which includes "developing and carrying out" joint strategic oversight plans. The Lead IG for Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel is the DoD IG.

The Lead IG, in collaboration with the IGs of the Department of State and United States Agency for International Development, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, has issued a Comprehensive Oversight Plan for Overseas Contingency Operations which includes joint
strategic oversight plans for OIR and OFS, and projects in the rest of the U.S. Central Command’s area of responsibility. Prior to FY 2016, the DoD OIG issued a Comprehensive Oversight Plan for Southwest Asia.
