DoD Inspector General Robert P. Storch visits United States Forces Korea

This week, DoD Inspector General Robert P. Storch led a team of DoD OIG personnel to visit U.S. Forces Korea. During the trip, the DoD OIG team met with members of Command leadership to discuss issues impacting strategic competition, recruiting and retaining the civilian workforce, and healthcare in the area of responsibility. These insights will inform the DoD OIG’s continuous planning for targeted oversight.

Lead Inspector General for Operation Inherent Resolve I Quarterly Report to the United States Congress I January 1, 2023 – March 31, 2023

This is the 33rd Lead Inspector General (Lead IG) report to the United States Congress on Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR), the overseas contingency operation to advise, assist, and enable local partner forces until they can independently defeat ISIS in designated areas of Iraq and Syria, thereby setting conditions for the implementation of long-term security cooperation frameworks.

Defense, State, and USAID Inspectors General Visit Kyiv

Last week, leaders from the Offices of Inspector General (OIGs) for the Department of Defense (DoD), Department of State (State), and U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) concluded a joint trip to Ukraine, Poland, and Germany in furtherance of their coordinated oversight of the U.S. Government’s Ukraine response efforts.

FY 2023 Joint Strategic Oversight Plan - Ukraine Response

This Fiscal Year 2023 Joint Strategic Plan for Ukraine Response is the first joint strategic oversight plan submitted to Congress by the Offices of Inspectors General (OIG) for the U.S. Department of Defense, the U.S. Department of State, and the U.S. Agency for International Development. This plan describes these three OIG’s and partner agencies’ oversight of U.S. activities related to the Ukraine response.
