Project Announcement: Audit of the Army Contracting Command-Afghanistan's Policies and Procedures for Contingency Contracting Risks (Project No. D2019-D000RH-0082.000)

We plan to begin the subject audit in January 2019. Our objective is to determine whether the Army Contracting Command-Afghanistan's award and administration of contracts mitigate contingency contracting risks, such as non-performance and improper payments, specific to Afghanistan.

We conducted this followup evaluation to determine whether U.S. Forces– Afghanistan (USFOR–A) implemented corrective action at Kandahar Airfield (KAF) in response to recommendations made in the DoD Office of Inspector General Report No. DODIG-2013-099, “Compliance with Electrical and Fire Protection Standards of U.S. Controlled and Occupied Facilities in Afghanistan,” issued on July 18, 2013.

DoD Management of the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise Maintenance Contract in Afghanistan DODIG-2018-139

We determined whether the Army monitored contractor performance and costs of the Enhanced Army Global Logistics Enterprise–Afghanistan (EAGLE-AFG) maintenance contract to ensure that the contractor maintained tactical vehicles and weapons in accordance with contract requirements while keeping costs to a minimum.
